The 10th Region Hall of Fame Class was announced on Tuesday afternoon. Members are nominated and voted on by head coaches. The group will be honored at a banquet after the season and during the finals of the boys regional tournament. Players:

Cole Hegyi (Campbell County) – scored 1,254 career pts., contributor to the 2015 Region Title team, 4 -time District winner, recipient of the Don Hughes Greater Cincinnati HOF Scholarship, leading scorer on a 30 win team, All 10th Region accolades senior year, NKBBC Div. I Star senior year.

Jarrod Litzinger (Mason County) – 2004 graduate, 2003 State Champion, 2004 State runner-up team, scored 983 total pts., 30th on all time scoring leaders at MCHS, scored 530 pts senior year.

Alan Stenzel (George Rogers Clark) – Received All District, All Region honors at GRC., played point guard for the Cardinals.

Larry Myrick (Mason County) – 1990 graduate, scored 1,258 pts., 18th all-time in scoring at MCHS, averaged 19 pts. as a senior, had a high of 41 pts. and 22 rebounds vs. Paris

Gabe Antrobus (Pendleton County) – scored 620 career pts., 2 time 38th District champion, 1 Regional semi -final, 1 Regional final appearance, Played 1 yr. at Ky. Christian University, game winning 3 vs. Harrison Co. in 2011 38th District Championship.

Barry Kirk (Maysville) – 1979 graduate, 22nd all time in scoring at Maysville HS with 1,005 pts., led Maysville HS to the 1979 10th Region title.

Garnett Hause, Jr. (Brooksville) – played basketball at Brooksville HS for 4 years and was their leading scorer 1942-1944, scored over 800 pts., 1944 Brooksville HS team went 22-0 in the regular season, won 3 district championships, 1 regional title, and was offered a scholarship from Adolph Rupp, also played baseball where he won a Regional championship and finished State runner-up in 1944.

Contributors:

Will Jones (Bracken County) – started promoting Bracken County athletics in 2013 as a freshmen in high school through media work, record-keeping, and history advocate. Has been involved in preserving local sports history and promoting Bracken County and the region as a whole for over a decade.

Kenneth Smoot (Nicholas, Paris, Fleming) – has put in over 30 years of contributions to the 10th Region as a statistician, timer, manager, referee,and assitant coach.

Mel Webster (Bishop Brossart) – served in many capacities at Bishop Brossart HS for many years. He was Athletic Director, coach, statistician and all- around supporter of Bishop Brossart HS, the 10th Region All A, and the 10th Region.

Coaches:

Aric Russell (Campbell County) – Head coach at Campbell Co. HS from 2010-2023, win/loss record of 284- 134, over 472 wins, 4 Regional Titles at Campbell Co., 1 Regional title at Newport HS, 1 boys and girls All A titles, led Campbell Co. to its first win in the KHSAA State Tournament in 2018, followed that up with a Final 4 State Tournament appearance in 2019, won 37th District title 11 times including 10 in a row stretching from 2014-2023. 10th Region Coach of the year 4 times.

Jon Wirth (Campbell/Pendleton County) – as an assistant coach Jon has been apart of 365 wins, he served as an assistant coach at Pendleton Co, and Campbell Co., 319 wins as an assistant coach, 1 KHSAA final 4 appearance, 2 KHSAA elite eights, 3 Regional championships, serves as Athletic Director at Pendelton Co. HS.
