
1. Scott (19-11)
The Eagles bounced back from a tough showing at the Kentucky Challenge going 2-1 last week. They knocked off 37th District rivals Calvary Christian and Campbell County to start district seed action. Against Calvary Christian, senior standout outside hitter Milyn Minor had 30 kills and 12 digs with Payton Grigsby tallying nine kills and 16 digs. Ryann Grigsby had 45 assists and 10 digs and Emory Sullivan tallied 13 digs.
Scott hosts Boone County on Tuesday.
2. Bishop Brossart (20-9)
The Mustangs won all three games last week including the Digs for Chicks game against Newport Central Catholic. Callie Ritter led the Mustangs with 11 kills in that game with junior setter Aubrey Rebholz contributing 24 assists, 10 digs and five aces. Sophomore libero Grace Frommeyer had 12 digs and five aces with eighth grade defensive specialist Audrey Arnold recording seven digs.
Brossart travels to Scott on Wednesday for a battle for the top seed in the district tournament.
3. George Rogers Clark (18-6)
The Cardinals have one last region game at Paris left on the schedule. They wrapped up the top seed in the 40th District Tournament with a win at home against Montgomery County on Thursday. In that game, sophomore setter Anna Cooper dished out 32 assists. Brooke Gough had 13 kills with Teigh Yeast pounding down 12 to go with four assisted blocks. Hollins Pumphery added five assisted and two solo blocks. Addison Palmer had 16 digs and six aces with Kinlee Keltner adding 13.
The Cardinals travel to Great Crossing on Tuesday.
4. Montgomery County (13-12)
The Indians lost both games last week against GRC and Lexington Christian. They went 2-3 in the Dink Scott Memorial Tournament the previous week.
Montgomery County will try to get back on track on Tuesday against West Carter.
5. Calvary Christian (19-4)
The Cougars lost their one game last week against Scott. Anna Hickey led the Cougars with 12 kills and 22 digs with Madison Stelzer and Ava Dahler contributing 23 and 12 digs, respectively.
Calvary hosts Newport on Tuesday.
6. Bracken County (19-4)
The Bears went 5-0 last week winning all three region games and both games in the Bearcat Round Robin against Walton-Verona and Boone County. Against Walton-Verona, Isabella Godman led Bracken County with seven kills with Rees Hargett recording 14 assists and eight digs. Baylee Wilson had eight assists and nine digs.
Bracken County travels to Fleming County on Tuesday.
7. Nicholas County (14-5)
The Jackets have won six in a row winning both games last week. Against Mason County, Morgan Broderick had 20 kills and 17 digs with Loralee Orazen tallying 16 kills and 12 digs. Allison Reid had 24 assists and 17 digs with Mackenzie Davenport recording 19 assists and nine digs. Sadie Vice had 19 digs with Kylie Earlywine adding eight digs and seven aces.
Nicholas County host Menifee County on Thursday.
8. Harrison County (14-10)
The Fillies went 2-1 last week including a win at Villa Madonna on Thursday. In that game, Mae Heimlich had 10 kills. Lexie Highlander had 17 assists and 14 digs with twin Lauren Highlander digging up 17 kills. Freshman Karsyn Bennett added 13 digs.
Harrison County host St. Patrick on Tuesday.
9. Mason County (17-10)
The Royals went 2-1 last week losing a tight one to Nicholas County on Thursday. In that game, Reagan Workman led Mason County with 13 kills to go with 14 digs and Kyleigh Kirk had 23 assists. Senior Halle Pfeffer recorded 24 digs and Hayley Allison had 17 with Kennedy Bivens recording 10. Makaylynn Crabtree tallied 10 aces.
Mason County travels to Augusta on Tuesday.
10. Campbell County (5-15)
The Camels have lost six in a row losing all three games last week.
Campbell County travels to Dixie Heights on Tuesday.
11. Augusta (9-7)
The Panthers lost district games against Mason County and Bracken County last week. In the loss against Bracken County, Adalen Gilliam led the Panthers with nine kills and 17 digs. Aryanna Davis added 16 digs with Makayla Woodruff recording 13.
Augusta host Mason County on Tuesday.
12. Paris (4-13)
The Hounds did not play any games last week. However, they recorded the first win over Bourbon County in program history the previous week.
They travel across town to face the Colonels again Tuesday.
13. Bourbon County (4-15)
The Colonels have lost nine in a row including all three last week. However, some young players are starting to show promise such as freshman Hailey Stanfield and eighth grader Kinley Kearns.
14. St. Patrick (7-14)
The Saints finished 1-2 last week with the win coming against Robertson County. In that win, eighth grader Mia Neeley had 16 aces with seventh grader Ella Neeley tallying 14 digs. Junior Hope Comer led the Saints with 14 assists with senior Lillian Klee recording eight kills.
St. Patrick travels to Harrison County on Tuesday.
15. Robertson County (4-19)
The Devils lost all seven games last week including the four in the Whitaker Bank Invitational at Wolfe County on Saturday. One of those losses came to Powell County.
Robertson County travels to Augusta on Wednesday.
16. Pendleton County (2-22)
The Cats lost both games last week including a home game against Grant County. In that game, eighth grader Hadley Spaulding had eight digs and seven assists with junior Kaylee Loomis recording eight digs.
Pendleton County travels to Newport on Monday.
