MT. STERLING — The Montgomery County Athletic Department announced on Wednesday that Dustin High would be the interim boys basketball coach for the 2025-26 season.

Dustin High coached girls basketball at MoCo for five seasons. High took over the program in 2019-20 and accumulated a record of 95-54. The Lady Indians were region finalists in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Coach High resigned as the girls basketball following the 2023-24 season.

His first game as head coach will be on Friday, Dec. 12 at home vs. Frederick Douglass in the Bluegrass Basketball Invitational.

Montgomery County High School is excited to announce that Coach Dustin High has been named Interim Head Boys’ Basketball Coach for the 2025–2026 season.

Coach High has 12 years of high school coaching experience. He led Montgomery County’s Girls’ Basketball program for five seasons, making three Region Championship Game appearances. He also served on the boys’ basketball staff from 2012-2019, including a State Semi-Final (2013) and a region runner-up (2014).
