LEXINGTON, Ky. — Four more teams are advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2026 UK HealthCare Boys Basketball Sweet 16® at Rupp Arena after the Wednesday night session and the Thursday morning session. North Oldham vs. Lyon County (6:00) and George Rogers Clark vs. Johnson Central (8:30) wrap up quarterfinal play in Thursday’s evening session.

Grayson County 73, Taylor County 64
Grayson County led 12-9 after the first quarter, but Taylor County edged in front 25-24 by halftime. The game turned in the third quarter, when Grayson County outscored Taylor County 26-17 to reclaim control and build a 50-42 lead entering the fourth. Taylor County scored 23 points in the final period, but Grayson County’s edge in points off turnovers (12-0), fast-break points (10-7) and blocks (6-1) helped keep the margin intact.
Grayson County shot 24 of 50 from the field (48.0%) and 8 of 17 from 3-point range, while Taylor County finished 22 of 50 overall (44.0%) and 7 of 24 from beyond the arc. Brody Armstrong led Grayson County with 18 points, while Jagger Mardis and Jack Logsdon added 16 points apiece. Logsdon also had 11 rebounds, four assists and four blocks, and Spencer Langdon scored 11 points. Taylor County was led by Cooper Stone with 25 points, and Bryten Close added 13 points and nine rebounds. Griffin Hines finished with nine points, while Bryce Vernon and Lane Hord scored seven each.

Great Crossing 57, Danville Christian 47
Great Crossing closed with a dominant fourth quarter to pull away from Danville Christian for the win. Danville Christian led 14-7 after the first quarter and 22-18 at halftime, then still held a 27-23 edge entering the fourth before Great Crossing erupted for 27 points in the final period. That late surge turned a tight game into a double-digit result.
Great Crossing shot 20 of 43 from the field and 12 of 19 at the line, while Danville Christian finished 17 of 39 overall and went 13 of 18 from the stripe. Great Crossing also had a 27-7 edge in points off turnovers. Brady Orem led Great Crossing with 19 points, while Graham Swartz added 12 and Colt Delimpo scored 10. Danville Christian was led by Leek Ateny with 18 points, followed by Eli Perez with 14 and Graham Domidion with 12.

Butler 54, Hazard 39
Butler took control in the second quarter and stayed in front the rest of the way in a win over Hazard. Hazard led 7-6 after the opening quarter, but Butler answered with a 20-13 second period to take a 26-20 halftime lead. The margin stayed manageable through the third before Butler added a 16-7 fourth quarter to put the game away.
Butler shot 19 of 45 from the field and made eight 3-pointers, while Hazard finished 15 of 44 overall and 4 of 23 from beyond the arc. Butler also held advantages in points off turnovers, 22-10, and fast-break points, 5-0. Adrian Wilder led Butler with 18 points, Brandon Heath added 14, and Brayden Wilkins scored nine. Hazard was led by Seth Caudill with 14 points, Talan Osborne with nine, and Tucker Johnson with seven.

Marshall County 67, Boyd County 63
Marshall County survived a back-and-forth game and held off Boyd County for a win. Boyd County led 20-17 after the first quarter and 35-30 at halftime, but Marshall County responded with a 19-point third quarter to move back in front, 49-51 entering the fourth. Marshall County then edged Boyd County 18-12 in the final period to finish the comeback.
Marshall County shot 25 of 52 from the field and dominated inside with a 40-20 edge in points in the paint, while Boyd County made nine 3-pointers and finished 21 of 57 overall. Marshall County also led in fast-break points, 17-8, and had an 8-0 advantage in bench scoring. Matthew Langhi paced Marshall County with 36 points, Ryan Stokes added 12, and Neyland Jezik scored nine. Boyd County was led by Jacob Spurlock with 29 points, Malachi Payne with 16, and Ethan Rardon with seven.
