The four girls’ basketball district tournaments tipped off the postseason in the 10th Region last night, Monday, February 23. Here’s a quick recap of the seven semifinal games. The regional tournament field has been set. See the district schedules here and the district preview here.

Bishop Brossart 61, Scott 40
The Lady Eagles were never in the game, but were never too far out of it either. Brossart scored 29 points in the first quarter and maintained the lead for the rest of the game. Read more from LINK nky.

Pendleton County 78, Robertson County 18
Patrick Kelsch’s Ladycats cruised to win where 11 different players appeared in the scoring column. Robertson County was led by Peyton Jolly with 11 points.

Nicholas County 59, Harrison County 44
The Ladyjackets jumped out in front early, leading 20-12 after one and 34-18 at the half. Maggie Simons was held below her average with 14 points, but Sidney Sexton and Loralee Orazen picked up the scoring with 13 and 11 each. Keylee Custard led the Fillies with 19 points.

Mason County 68, St. Patrick 34
The Lady Royals cruised to a win over their crosstown rival.

Bracken County 62, Augusta 44
The Lady Bears jumped out early over Augusta, leading 37-18 at the half. Their lead remained steady from there. Bracken County’s advantage came on their 32 points from Augusta’s 24 turnovers. Both teams hit the glass as well, with 40 rebounds each. Kailey Sharp led the Bears with 22 points and Kyndall Johnson added 17. Aryanna Davis had 13 for Augusta.

George Rogers Clark 91, Bourbon County 33
The Lady Cards cruised past the Colonels in the opening semifinal.

Montgomery County 60, Paris 35
Jamya Bell and Molly Mason both had 11 points for Paris. Elaine Purvis led the Lady Indians with 23 points and Addison Terry added 15.
