1. George Rogers Clark

2024 Results2025 Schedule

The Cardinals were 27-12 last year before losing to Mason County 6-3 in the region semifinals.  They return most of their batting lineup but lost their two best pitchers from last year.

Offensively, they return Ben Fulks (Sr), who led the team with 40 hits and a .435 batting average. Kamden McAlpin (Sr) returns with 36 hits and a .330 average.  He also stole 27 of 29 bases and led the team with 32 walks.  Abrahm Howard (So) had 30 hits and a .303 average.  They also gained catcher Jacob Todd (So), who transferred to Montgomery County last year, where he had 27 hits for a .346 average.  Another sophomore, Tielor Howie, stole 32 of 33 bases last year, had 25 hits, and batted .325. 

They return Haddon Cecil (So) on the mound with 38.1 innings and a 2.19 ERA.  Also returning is Abe Mullins (So), who threw 31 innings with a 2.94 ERA.  Although he only pitched three innings last season, Abrahm Howard will take on a larger role.

2. Campbell County

Coach: Scott Schweitzer (16th Season)
Enrollment: 1546
Key Losses: Samuel Adams (35.1 IP, .238 ERA), Chris Bramley (44 IP, 1.43 ERA), Daxton Straus (24 H, .324 BA), Spencer Voss (24 H, .293 BA)
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Camels were 21-13 last season. They lost to Bourbon County in the regional semifinals and were 37th District champions. They lost two of their top three pitchers but return most of their lineup.  

They return Tyler Schumacher (Jr), who led the team with a .424 batting average and 42 hits.  He is committed to Marshall.  Carson Clark (Sr) followed with 35 hits and a .372 average.  He also stole 32 of 35 bases.  Multi-sport athlete Zach Franzen (Sr) had 29 hits and a .398 average.  Also returning is Camden Tiemeier, who had 23 hits. 

On the mound will be Zach Franzen, who had the most innings pitched with 46.1 and a 2.42 ERA last season.  Tyler Schumacher threw 35 innings and had a 2.80 ERA.  With only 20 innings pitched last season, Nate Delaney (Sr) had a 1.40 ERA.

3. Harrison County

Coach: Mac Whitaker (46th Season)
Enrollment: 870
Key Losses: Braxton Grubb (47.1 IP, 1.77 ERA), Elijah Harris (39 H, .415 BA), Eli Phelps (20 H, .313 BA, 25.1 IP, 2.21 ERA), Mason Smiley (33 H, .388 BA), Corey Vaughn (32 H, .376 BA, 25.2 IP, 3.82 ERA)
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Thorobreds were 23-8 last season and lost most of their pitching and hitting, which had been the core of their lineup the last few seasons. They were 38th District champions but lost in the first round of the regional tournament to Mason County.

They return Jashon Lewis (Sr), who led the team in hits and batting average.  He had 43 hits with a .467 average.  A team sixth in hits last year, catcher/pitcher Brian Vaughn had 25 hits with a .352 average.  Donovan Walker (Jr) had 20 hits in 61 at-bats, hitting .328.  He is the son of 1992 Mr. Baseball Shon Walker.  

On the mound, the Thorobreds lose five of their top six pitchers.  Their lead returner is Brian Vaughn, who pitched 39 innings last year with a 1.29 ERA.  After that, they return Boston Reynolds (Sr) with 11.1 innings, Donovan Walker with 4.2 innings, and Cooper Slade (Jr) with 2 innings. 

4. Mason County

Coach: Jason Butler (4th Season)
Enrollment: 874
Key Losses: Landon Scilley (42 H, .400 BA, 63 IP, 2.44 ERA), Nathan Bisotti (26 H, .243 BA, 28 IP, .325 ERA), Connor Butler (38 H, .349 BA). 
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Royals were 20-16 last season. Despite losing in the district finals to Bracken County, they beat Harrison County, George Rogers Clark, and Bourbon County to win their second regional championship in school history. They fell to Lexington Catholic in the first round of the state tournament.  

Cray Fite (Sr) returns in the batting order after leading the team with 46 hits and a .397 average.  Cole Horch (Sr), who also plays football and basketball, returns with his 35 hits and .330 batting average.  Catcher Nick Mains (Sr) had 24 hits and a .296 average.

Returning pitcher Cray Fite threw 57.1 innings with a 2.56 ERA.  He pitched a shutout in the regional championship.  Brady Mefford (Jr) threw 40.1 innings last season with a 4.86 ERA.  He threw 6 innings, giving up 3 runs in the regional semifinals.  

5. Bishop Brossart 

Coach: Ron Verst (14th Season)
Enrollment: 314
Key Losses: Alex Amin (28 H, .315 BA), Brandon Burkhardt (18 H, .281 BA, 42 IP, 5.17 ERA)
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Mustangs were 11-18 last season and lost to Scott in the first round of the district tournament.  They return most of their hitting and pitching.  They are also awaiting the completion of their new turf field.

Isaac Amin (Jr) led the team in hits and batting average with 34 and .354.  Catcher Keegan Gulley (Sr) had 28 hits for a .33 average.  Ben Doyle was fourth in hits with 27 last year and a .342 average.  With 25 hits and a .333 average, Ben Volmer rounds out the key hitters for Bishop Brossart.  

Volmer is also the team’s top returning pitcher. He threw 35.2 innings with a 7.07 ERA. Alex Noe follows with 29.1 innings and a 2.62 ERA.  

6. Scott

Coach: Patrick Dragan (1st Season)
Enrollment: 1049
Key Losses: Zack Sparks (34 H, .324 BA), Dylan Giffen (35 H, .299 BA), Gunner Bleha (29 H, .293 BA),  Kyle Groneck (24 H, .304 BA, 28.2 IP, 6.35 ERA), Porter Huston (33.1 IP, 3.15 ERA).  
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Eagles were 17-19 last season and lost in the first round of the regional tournament to GRC.

They return Trevor Pulsfort (Sr), who led the team with a .350 batting average and 35 hits.  Brady Smith (Sr) had the fourth most hits with 33 last year and a .311 average.  Their next returning contributor is Trey Cook (Jr), who had only 33 at-bats but batted .333 with 11 hits.  

Brady Smith returns after pitching the most innings on the team (43.1) with a 4.36 ERA.  Lefty Ty Cook (Fr) also returns, after throwing 28.2 innings with a 2.39 ERA as an 8th grader.

7. Montgomery County

Coach: Sam Sutton (1st Season)
Enrollment: 1317
Key Losses: Eli Leach (30 H, .361 BA), Jacob Todd (27 H, .346 BA), (Samuel Cooper (20 H, .303 BA), , Ethan Overholser (22 H, .278 BA)
2024 Season2025 Schedule

After finishing 8-20, the Indians look to turn things around under new coach Sam Sutton. 

Montgomery County returns Brayden Dore (So) who hit .280 and recorded 21 hits. Also returning is Evan Copher, who recorded 13 hits. Brody Roland (Fr) will also play a big part in the Indians’ offense. They lost Jacob Todd, who transferred to GRC.

Evan Copher led the Indians in innings pitched and strikeouts last year and will be returning. Second leading pitcher, Jaimen Caba (Jr) also returns. Jayse Mays (Jr) will round out the returners, along with GRC transfer, Jordan Howard (Sr). 

8. Nicholas County

Coach: Josh Earlywine (4th Season)
Enrollment: 289
Key Losses: Wyatt Clark (29 H, .345 BA), Jacob Hatton (35 H, .372 BA), Lincoln Morris (42 H, .462 BA), Oscar Saucedo (20 H, .256 BA, 35.1 IP, 5.15 IP)
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Bluejackets were 16-17 and were runners-up in the 38th District. They lost to Campbell County in the first round of the regional tournament.

Returning is Jayden Robinson (So), who had a .293 BA and 24 hits. He also had the team’s lowest ERA at 3.08 in 38.2 IP.  The sophomore will get help on the mound from Corbin Fryman (Sr), who wasn’t far behind Robinson’s ERA with 3.29 in 38.1 innings.

9. Bourbon County

Coach: Nelson Faris (24th Season)
Enrollment: 795
Key Losses: JT Ritchie (41 H, .410 BA), Aiden Earlywine (35 H, .337 BA, 69.2 IP, 1.41 ERA), Jake Scott (38.1 IP, 1.10 ERA, 34 H, .378 BA), Jax Vires (31 H, .360 BA).  
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Colonels were 22-9 last season. They were runners-up in the 40th District and lost to Mason County in the 10th Region Championship. They lost most of their key players, who transferred out over the summer.

Their lead returner is catcher Xavier Baker (Sr).  He had 30 hits last year and a .330 batting average.  He will also see some innings on the mound.  

10. Calvary Christian

Coach: Brad Ruwe (1st Season)
Enrollment: 127
Key Losses: Race Zachery (43 H, .457 BA), Connor Rossiter (33 H, .367 BA, 36.2 IP, 3.05 ERA), Noah Thornberry (34 H, .370 BA). 
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Cougars were 12-18 last year, losing to Campbell County in the 37th District semifinals.  

Joshua Ruwe (Sr) returns after a junior campaign of 43 hits and a .411 batting average. Adam Curtis (Sr) follows with 27 hits and a .325 average.

Joshua Ruwe recorded a 3.22 ERA on the mound in 50 innings pitched and 10 starts. He had 74 strikeouts and a record of 3-6. His brother, Caleb Ruwe, threw 45.1 innings with a 6.02 ERA and 57 strikeouts with a record of 2-4.

11. Augusta

Coach: Craig Miller/Rob Kelsch
Enrollment: 99
Key Losses: Kylan Hinson (22 H, .344 BA)
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Panthers were 9-13 last season and lost to Mason County 4-2 in the 39th District semifinals.  

Noland Young (Sr) returns after an impressive season batting .516 alongside a team-high 22 RBIs and three home runs. Will Kelsch (Sr) will look to add after batting .364 last season with 21 RBIs, as will Keeton Bach (Sr), who batted .350 with 19 RBIs. 

Bach and Kelsch, alongside Grayson Miller (Sr), combined to pitch 127.2 of the 135.2 total innings Augusta played last season. Bach served as the ace with a 4.58 ERA in 10 starts, finishing with a 4-4 record. Kelsch’s nine starts (3-6) saw him post a 7.34 ERA, and Miller threw 27 innings for a 7.78 ERA. They also add Maddox Hesler (Fr) from Bracken County who will add to their hitting and pitching.

12. Paris

Coach: Kyle Campbell (6th Season)
Enrollment: 232
Key Losses: Luke Berry (19 H, .297 BA), Branson Frazier (14 H, .318 BA, 21.2 IP, 3.55 ERA), Jakari Ransom (15 H, .283 BA, 27.2 IP, 4.05 ERA)
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Greyhounds were 13-18 last season and lost to George Rogers Clark in the 40th District semifinals.  They return several hitters but lost some pitchers. 

Cameron Mays (Sr) is back after leading the Greyhounds in a majority of statistical categories: Runs (27), Hits (30), Triples (four), Home Runs (4), Stolen Bases (33 out of 33), and BA (.423). Xavier Brown (So) also returns following his season with a team-high 22 RBIs, joined by Sam Morris (Jr) and his .400 BA and 16 RBIs. 

Elijah Young (Sr) and Brown lead Paris’ pitching group for 2025. Young started four games last year and pitched in 11 total outings, posting a 3.71 ERA and 32 Ks in 22.2 IP. Brown tied for the team’s most starts with six, tossing 20 IP on the way to a 4.55 ERA and 23 Ks. 

13. Pendleton County

Coach: Nate Jones (2nd Season)
Enrollment: 713
Key Losses: Nick Arkenau (18 H, .281 BA), Michael Fultz (31H, .463 BA, 36 IP, 5.83 ERA), Aaron Kirsch (18 H, .316 BA) 
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Wildcats had a 3-20 record last season under first-year coach and veteran MLB pitcher Nate Jones. They lost their top four hitters from 2024.

Returning with experience is Cole Harlow (Sr), who posted a .200 BA while also throwing 31 IP for a 5.19 ERA. Jacob Frisch (Jr) also gained experience last season with 5 RBIs in 21 games. Other expected contributors include Caleb Biddle (Sr) and Colton Ortleib (So). 

14. Bracken County

Coach: Rob Krift (5th Season)
Enrollment: 387
Key Losses: Colin Combess (22 H, .301 BA), Josh Hamilton (34 H, .507 BA, 22.2 IP, 4.01 ERA), Hank Krift (20 H, .247 BA, 60.2 IP, 1.62 ERA), Ross Lucas (29 H, .377 BA, 36.1 IP, 3.21 ERA), Thomas Rudd (32 H, .360 BA), Maddox Hesler (to Augusta). 
2024 Season2025 Schedule

The Polar Bears were 17-9 last year, 10th Region All “A” Classic quarterfinalists, and 39th District Champions. They lost six players in their lineup and the top three pitchers. 

Their best returning hitter is Caleb Sutton (Jr.), who batted .217 last year with 13 hits. He is also their lead returner on the mound, with 19 innings pitched and a 5.116 ERA.
