10thRegion.com has selected Zach Franzen of Campbell County as its second recipient of the Mr. 10th Region award. This award goes to a graduating senior who excels in multiple sports. Franzen played soccer, basketball, and baseball for the Camels.

On the soccer field, the Camels were 15-9-1 and won the 10th Region Championship before losing in the state quarterfinals. Franzen led the team with 19 goals.

On the basketball court, Franzen averaged 6.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He won three district championships as a varsity player for the Camels and the 10th Region Championship in 2024.

Franzen has been a key two-way player for the Camels on the baseball diamond the last three years as well. This past season, he pitched a team-leading 54.2 innings with a 2.18 ERA and 72 strikeouts. At the plate, he collected 31 hits and maintained a .310 batting average with 23 RBIs, four doubles, three triples, and two home runs. Campbell County was 25-11.
Zach plans to attend Northern Kentucky University and study construction management.
Last year’s Mr. 10th Region was Landon Scilley of Mason County.
