Clay County at Scott
Scott fell to 0-3 with a narrow home loss to Clay County. Nash Overholser completed 6 of 12 passes for 75 yards and rushed six times for 36 yards and the Eagles’ lone touchdown. Luke Tomlin added 36 yards on six carries, while Kaydenn Marshall led Scott’s receivers with two catches for 28 yards.
Samuel Ishmael paced the defense with 10 tackles, including seven solo stops, and Colton Turner added nine tackles. Charlie Miles recorded a sack as the Eagles kept the game within reach defensively.
Harrison County at Bourbon County
Bourbon County improved to 2-1 behind five rushing touchdowns and a strong performance on both sides of the ball from Madi Bell. Bell rushed four times for 55 yards and a touchdown, added six tackles and a sack, and returned a fumble for another score. Julius Gregory rushed for two touchdowns and passed for 81 yards, while Tanner Lutz added two rushing touchdowns and six tackles. Caleb Sheets threw for 65 yards and a touchdown, with Brandon Smith-Santiago catching two passes for 45 yards and a score.
Harrison County dropped to 0-3 despite a productive night from Karsyn Sumpter, who carried 15 times for 85 yards and caught two passes for 33 yards and the Thorobreds’ lone touchdown. Carter Curry completed 5 of 8 passes for 50 yards and a touchdown, while Daniel Switzer added a 23-yard reception.
Highlands at Campbell County
Campbell County suffered its first loss of the season, dropping to 2-1 against Highlands. Aiden Seibert led the Camels with four catches for 81 yards and a touchdown, while Cade Anthrop added a 28-yard touchdown reception. Cameron Phelps passed for 98 yards and both scores, and Xander Guy contributed 52 passing yards.
Alex Riedinger led Campbell County’s defense with nine tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack. The Camels managed just 27 rushing yards, with Noah Honaker accounting for 24 on three carries, while Highlands threw six touchdown passes.
Mason County at Fleming County
Leonard Avery scored three touchdowns as Mason County remained unbeaten at 3-0 with a road victory over Fleming County. Avery rushed 15 times for 139 yards and two touchdowns and caught two passes for 41 yards and another score. Camden Gregory passed for 94 yards and a touchdown and added 30 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while Josiah Brooks rushed four times for 43 yards.
Bryson Carrington anchored the Royals’ defense with 13 tackles, including seven solo stops. Avery and Kenyon Walton added seven tackles apiece, Jahmir Thompson and Easton Price each recorded a sack, and Kyson Fox intercepted a pass.
Montgomery County at George Rogers Clark
George Rogers Clark improved to 3-0 behind four touchdowns from Carter Muzic, who completed 10 of 15 passes for 218 yards and two scores and rushed six times for 74 yards and two more touchdowns. Gunner Martin caught three passes for 106 yards and a touchdown, while Haddon Cecil had three receptions for 63 yards and a score. Landon Belcher added 74 rushing yards and a touchdown, and Britton Crockett led the pass rush with three sacks.
Montgomery County fell to 0-3. Austin Hatton led the Indians’ receiving corps with seven catches for 117 yards, while Braylon Nester passed for 76 yards and rushed 15 times for 54 yards. Austin Bromagen supplied the Indians’ scoring with two field goals, including a long of 32 yards, and Trenton Lay led the defense with five tackles.
Nicholas County at Lewis County
Jayden Watkins carried the load as Nicholas County improved to 3-0 with a road win over Lewis County. Watkins rushed 32 times for 162 yards and two touchdowns, added a two-point conversion and led the Bluejackets with eight tackles. Easton Adams contributed 24 yards and a touchdown on five carries, while Jayden Robinson caught three passes for 43 yards.
The Bluejackets intercepted three passes, with Bentley Crump collecting two and Ty Simons adding another. Simons also passed for 54 yards, while Jack Jeter finished with six tackles and a tackle for loss.
Paris at Pineville
Paris dropped to 1-2 despite Braylon Francis contributing through the air and on the ground. Francis completed 7 of 14 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown, rushed 14 times for 59 yards and another score, and added a two-point conversion. Landon Brown led the receivers with three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Chace Williams recorded 21 tackles, including nine solo stops, along with three tackles for loss and a sack. D’aire Thomas added nine tackles and a fumble recovery, but the Greyhounds could not contain Pineville’s Trevor West, who rushed for 259 yards and four touchdowns.
Pendleton County at Bellevue
Gavin Laney accounted for all four Pendleton County touchdowns as the Wildcats earned their first victory and improved to 1-2. Laney completed 11 of 26 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 16 times for 75 yards and another score. Kegan Barhorst caught a 77-yard touchdown pass, while Colton Morton added three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown and Noah Gelter finished with four receptions for 30 yards and a score.
Eli Burchfield led the defense with 10 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery. Ben Hotaling added eight tackles, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble, while Peyton Burchfield also recorded eight tackles. Gelter contributed an interception, and Landen Scott recovered a fumble.
St. Henry at Bishop Brossart
Bishop Brossart fell to 1-2 despite a five-touchdown performance from Landon Spaulding. Spaulding completed 26 of 37 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns and rushed eight times for 137 yards and three scores. Quinten Tischner caught 12 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, while Justin Bezold added a 69-yard touchdown reception. Brady Boruske also scored on a kickoff return.
Tischner led the Mustangs’ defense with 10 tackles and a tackle for loss. Charlie Rauch contributed five tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery, while Beckett Meersman added a sack. St. Henry’s Lucas Pate rushed for 239 yards and three touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass to help the Crusaders edge Brossart.
