Canidates
RaZamadi Bell (Paris) – Bell was the Greyhounds’ lead rusher with 106 carries for 988 yards and 12 touchdowns. On defense, he was second in tackles with 107. He had 30 solo and 77 assisted tackles, with six tackles for a loss and five sacks.
Jaimen Caba (Montgomery County) – Caba led the Indians with 130 tackles (43 solo). He had five tackles for a loss, a sack, an interception, and two forced fumbles with one recovery. On offense, he had 385 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 22 receptions.
Trey Cook (Scott) – Cook was the Eagles’ quarterback and was 160 of 280 on passes for a 57 percent completion percentage. He threw for a total of 2,513 yards with 31 touchdowns. He averaged 251 passing yards per game. Cook also had 86 carries for 438 yards and seven touchdowns.
Nicholas Cozzi (Bishop Brossart) – Cozzi led the Mustangs in receiving yards with 807 on 53 catches. He scored six touchdowns and averaged 67 yards per game. He had two punt returns for a touchdown as well. On defense, he had 44 tackles (29 solo) and five interceptions.
Braylon Nester (George Rogers Clark) – Nester was the Cards’ leading rusher with 130 carries for 941 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also stepped in at quarterback, where he was 8 of 21 on passing for 113 yards and a touchdown.
Dawson Nichols (Pendleton County) – Nichols led the Wildcats with 908 receiving yards on 46 catches. He averaged 101 yards per game and scored nine touchdowns. As the team’s kicker, he was 12 of 16 on PATs.
Micah Payne (Mason County) – Payne caught 23 passes for 492 yards and eight touchdowns. On defense, he had 17 total tackles and three interceptions. As a kicker, he was 15 of 18 on PATs.
Malachi Rennie (Bourbon County) – Dual-threat and two-way quarterback Rennie passed for 1,748 yards and ran for 595 yards. He averaged 159 passing and 54 rushing yards per game. He scored a combined 31 touchdowns in the Colonels’ 9-2 season. He also led the team with 57 total tackles (37 solo).
Wyatt Simons (Nicholas County) – Simons had 1,691 rushing yards on 205 carries. He scored 23 touchdowns and averaged 154 yards per game. On the defensive side he led the team with 78 tackles, 51 solo and 27 assisted.
Karsyn Sumpter (Harrison County) – Sumpter led Harrison County with 729 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 125 carries. He led the team in tackles as well with 75.
Jackson Whitten (Bracken County) – Whitten is a 6’3″ 265-pound offensive and defensive lineman who led the Polar Bears on both sides of the ball. On defense, he had 87 total tackles, 36 solo and 51 assisted. He had 45 tackles for a loss and eight sacks. Whitten has six Division I offers.
