FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: DEC. 5, 2025

The Boyle County Rebels have captured the 2025 UK HealthCare Sports Medicine Class 4A State Title, defeating Franklin County 34-0. The Rebels led 7-0 late in the second quarter and, on the last play of the half, Boyle County faked a field goal and back-up quarterback Baylor Murphy lofted a 22-yard TD pass to Seneca Driver to give the Rebs a 14-0 lead.

Boyle County (14-1) added to its advantage in the third quarter with Driver, again, scoring his third TD of the game on a 6-yard run.

Franklin County (14-1) lost its best chance in the third quarter. The Flyers were stopped four times inside the two-yard line as the Rebels’ defense held.

Rebels’ running back JiDyn Smith-Hisle did his work on the ground with 29 carries for 183 yards and two fourth-quarter scores.

Justin Haddix wins his fifth state title with Boyle County (2020-2023, 2025) as the Rebels claim their 13th state championship since 1999.

Boyle County’s Seneca Driver was the recipient of the Class 4A MVP Award presented by Morgan & Morgan.
