Braeden Myrick in his last game as a Royal vs. Montgomery County in the regional semifinals (Will Jones/10th Region).

The last name Myrick is synonymous with Mason County basketball. However, after two seasons at Mason County, Braeden Myrick has transferred to Covington Catholic.

As a sophomore last season, Myrick led the Royals in scoring, averaging 19.1 points per game and shooting 45.7% from three. As a freshman in 2023-24, he averaged 9 ppg and shot 48.9% from three.

Myrick will join a Covington Catholic team that lost to Cooper in the 9th Region semifinals last season and finished with a record of 24-9.
