BROOKSVILLE, Ky. — The 2026 10th Region Softball Tournament will be held at Bracken County for the first time in tournament history. This year, the 39th District is scheduled to host as part of the region’s rotation, and recent field upgrades have made the site eligible.
The field is located behind Bracken County Middle School, which opened in 1990 along with the field.
New fencing was installed just before the start of the season. The outfield fence was moved back 10-12 feet, bringing the fence distance to 200 feet. The original lights were also replaced two years ago. Other improvements include expanded dugouts, a new concession stand, and additional parking.
Bracken County softball coach and assistant superintendent Jamey Johnson said, “We take a lot of pride in keeping our field in excellent condition. We work hard to maintain a high-quality playing surface that is one of the best in the region. We hope players and fans enjoy the tournament atmosphere here and have a great experience.”
Dates for the tournament have not been finalized. However, it will be played over Memorial Day weekend through the next week. The baseball regional tournament will be at Harrison County.
