CARLISLE, Ky. — Bracken County scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday to beat Bishop Brossart 9-8 on a walk-off sacrifice fly by Rees Hargett in the 10th Region All “A” Classic championship game. The win gave Bracken County their fifth straight title and a trip to Owensboro. It is their ninth title overall (2005, 2009, 2011, 2014, 2022-2026).
The Lady Bears defeated Nicholas County 14-4 and Bishop Brossart beat Paris 15-2 in the semifinals. Bracken County will play in the statewide tournament at Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro on April 25-26. On Saturday, they will play in a pool with Livingston Central, Lexington Christian, and Belfry.
