Pendleton County 55, Nicholas County 54
Hunter Keeton drained a half-court shot to beat the Bluejackets at the buzzer, 55-54. The Wildcats are District Champions for the first time since 2018.
Campbell County 82, Scott 48
The Camels rolled past Scott in the 37th title, their 13th straight.
Mason County 84, Bracken County 78 (OT)
The Polar Bears collapsed after poor free-throw shooting doomed them in the final minute. They led 68-59 with 53 seconds left. Then led 68-61 with 38 seconds left. The Royals tied it up on a foul-and-one with 6.4 seconds left. Teegan Feldhaus for Bracken County scored 36 points and was 7-for-10 from three.
Montgomery County 73, George Rogers Clark 66
The Indians are back-to-back champions after winning a thriller in Mt. Sterling. Montgomery County led by nine at halftime but trailed by one at the end of the third quarter.
Girls Basketball:
Nicholas County 51, Pendleton County 48 (OT)
The Lady Jackets escaped with an overtime win in the 38th District Championship.
Mason County 62, Bracken County 28
The Lady Royals put a running clock on the Lady Bears in the district championship.
