AUGUSTA — The City of Augusta and Augusta Independent Schools have collaborated with several community partners to completely renovate the Augusta Ballfield. Due to their contributions, the field be officially dedicated as Augusta Distillery Field at St. Elizabeth Ball Park.
The Reds Community Fund started the initially contribution for the all-turf infield. A new 9-inning scoreboard was installed this week as well.
Opening Day Ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, April 16th. The Augusta baseball team will host Mason County at 5:45 pm, and the Augusta softball team will host Bracken County at 7:30 pm. Both games will be 5 innings.
The ceremonies start at 5:00 pm with the first pitch at 5:40 pm. Parking is located at the Augusta Boat Dock.
