Scilley’s arm, Fite’s bat beat Brossart
CYNTHIANA, KY – Landon Scilley and Evan Moore are two of the top pitchers in the 10th Region. Something had to give, and it did, with Cray Fite’s solo shot homerun in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Mason County threatened in the bottom of the 2nd inning. They had two runners in scoring position thanks to singles by Cole Horch and Cameron Rosel. However, Evan Moore struck out the Royals’ batter to end the inning.
Landon Scilley, a Yale commit, struck out 5 batters in his first two innings.
Bishop Brossart biggest threat came in the top of the 4th inning. After Evan Moore and Colin Combs had back-to-back one out singles, Brossart grounded into a 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.
In the top of the 4th, Cray Fite the Royals their only run of the game by hitting a solo shot homerun to left-field.
That’s all that go on in combines one-run pitchers dual. Landon Scilley gave up just 3 hits and 1 walk. Evan Moore gave up 7 hits and 1 walk.
This is Mason County’s first win in the 10th Region Tournament since 2014. Mason County will play the winner of Harrison County and Bourbon County.
