Benjamin Brown was ruled eligible on Monday to play varsity basketball at Scott High School. According to PrepHoops Nevada, Brown was ranked as the second-best player in the class of 2029.

In his first game against Community Christian Academy on Monday, Brown scored 30 points.

Brown is a 6-1 freshman who attended Mater Academy East outside of Las Vegas, NV. Both of Brown’s parents graduated of Scott. The family moved to Nevada six years ago and moved back to Taylor Mill over Winter Break.

He played three JV games last week, waiting for an eligibility ruling, scoring 12, 14, and 31 points.

The transfer will help bolster Scott in the competitive 37th District.
