10thRegion.com has selected Madison Verst of Pendleton County as its second annual recipient of the Miss 10th Region award. This award goes to a graduating senior who excels in multiple sports. Verst played volleyball, basketball, and softball for the Wildcats.

Verst led the volleyball team with 735 digs and 54 aces, while adding 66 kills. The Pendleton County volleyball team won 22 games this past season.

On the basketball court, she averaged seven points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

On the softball diamond, she led the Wildcats with 46 hits and a .489 batting average. She collected seven doubles, hit three home runs, and batted in 32 runs.

Last year’s Miss 10th Region was Ella Johnson of Bracken County.
