Jordan Gilbert leaves Mason for Green County

Almost 2 months ago, Jordan Gilbert was named the head girls basketball coach at Mason County. Today, it was announced he will be leaving that role to be the head boys basketball coach at Green County.

The Green County boys basketball position first came open in March. On April 15th, former Thomas Nelson head coach Josh Kays was named the new coach. He left that position on May 24th to be an assistant coach at Taylor County, leaving Green County to look for another replacement.

Jordan Gilbert will take over at Green County out of the 5th Region and 18th District. The Dragons went 14-13 last year before losing in the first round of the district tournament.

Mason County will now be looking for their third head coach in three seasons (four counting Gilbert). Kevin Bundy resigned as head coach Lady Royals in late March.
