
Bracken County 41, Bishop Brossart 13
The Polar Bears were without quarterback Greg Benedict and running back Daulton Tarter, both of whom were also key players on defense. Backup quarterback Ryland Tucker went down with an injury during the game as well. Despite relying on a third-string quarterback, Bracken County had no problem defeating the Mustangs. They led 41-0 just a minute into the second half.
Bourbon County 20, Montgomery County 13
Late in the fourth quarter, senior quarterback/safety Malachi Rennie scored on back-to-back possessions, then sealed the game with a clutch interception at the 6-yard line with 59 seconds left. His heroics lifted the host Colonels to a 20-13 come-from-behind victory over Montgomery County at Adena Springs Field.
Scott 48, Grant County 22
Trey Cook lit it up in Taylor Mill, throwing for 437 yards and six touchdowns. He completed 20 of 25 passes, averaging 22 yards per completion. Aaron Hampton was his top target, hauling in seven receptions for 195 yards and three scores.
George Rogers Clark 42, Henry Clay 7
Trey Davis completed 5 of 6 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, Braylon Nester led the way with 95 yards and a score.
Anderson County 39, Harrison County 21
Harrison County fell to 0-4 after losing to the Bearcats in Lawrenceburg. Eight Thorobreds carried the ball for a combined 176 yards. Karsyn Sumpter paced the effort with 55 yards and a touchdown, while also recording 10 tackles on defense.
Cooper 35, Campbell County 7
The Camels dropped to 2-2 after their road loss at Cooper. Lucas Anthrop went 13 of 22 passing for 141 yards, throwing two interceptions without a touchdown. He also ran 22 times for 77 yards and scored Campbell County’s lone touchdown.
Boyd County 42, Mason County 6
The Royals struggled without running back Joey Staggs, who was averaging 127 yards per game on the ground. Quarterback Camden Gregory threw for 69 yards, completing 7 of 19 passes. Avery Leonard added eight carries for 53 yards.
Somerset 42, Paris 7
The Greyhounds dropped their first game of the season, managing just seven points after averaging 42 per game through their first three contests. Guy Turner completed 5 of 13 passes for only 25 yards with an interception. RaZamadi Bell provided a bright spot, rushing nine times for 80 yards.
Nicholas County 1, Berea 0 (forfeit)
The Bluejackets improved to 4-0 with a forfeit win over Berea.
