From the Paris City Schools Facebook Page:

Paris High School is proud to announce the hiring of Eli Strait as the new Head Coach of the Boys Varsity Basketball team. A standout athlete and seasoned mentor, Coach Strait brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the program.

A former All-State and All-City player, Strait starred at Tates Creek High School under longtime coach Nolan Barger. He continued his athletic career at Gardner-Webb University, a Division I program in North Carolina, where he served as captain of both the men’s basketball and soccer teams.

Following his college career, Strait returned to his roots, contributing to player development and coaching at Tates Creek before co-founding CKY Hoopers, a competitive grassroots travel program that participates on the Adidas Jr. 3SSB circuit, featuring teams across multiple grade levels. The program was launched in collaboration with former University of Kentucky player Marquis Estill.

Coach Strait and his wife, Christina, have been married for 18 years and are excited to become part of the Paris community. Their sons, Brayden (8th grade) and Keegan (7th grade), will also be joining the Paris family.

Please join us in welcoming Coach Strait and his family to Paris High School!
